Hampton University Scripps Howard School Assistant Dean Maier’s movie lands distribution deal
Virginia Beach, Va. (Feb. 4, 2020) – “Mother of a Day,” Hampton University Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs Butch Maier's comedy movie about an African American family, is being distributed digitally by Maverick Entertainment, starting today, Sumbadhat Productions announced.
The movie, which is trending this morning on maverickentertainment.cc, is available for purchase on Amazon.com and to rent or buy on FandangoNOW.com.
Lamont Ferguson, Shanadiah Nicole, Malachi DeWitt, Karen M. Bryson, Michelle Highsmith, Jasmine Chandler and Ron Bianchi star in “Mother of a Day,” about a man who forgets Mother's Day.
The family-friendly film, written, directed and produced by Maier, features Scripps Howard School graduate Daryle-Kennedy Edwards in an acting role, and Scripps Howard School graduate Timia Whitsey served as a production assistant.
