Scripps Howard assistant professor Van Dora Williams, who has produced PBS documentaries on African-American history, reconciliation, and social and environmental issues, will have one of her projects airing nationally on cable television this fall. Williams served as associate producer on “Banished,” a documentary about African Americans forcibly evicted from towns in Georgia, Arkansas and Missouri during the years following the Civil War. The film, directed by Marco Williams, is airing on the Starz Network throughout the month of September.
