The Hampton University Chapter of PRSSA Presents
"A Public Relations Panel Discussion on Breaking Into the Fashion Industry"
On Friday, April 20, the Hampton University chapter of the Public Relations
Student Society of America (PRSSA) has partnered with the "Black Reign: HU Rips the
Runway" to present the first public relations fashion panel "Breaking Into the
Fashion Industry." Students interested in pursuing a career in the fashion
industry are urged to attend, as there will be a guest panel full of PR fashion
professionals sharing their expertise.
"The Public Relations Panel Discussion on Breaking Into the Fashion Industry"
will start promptly at 4 p.m. in the R.P. Scripps Auditorium of the Scripps Howard
School of Journalism and Communications. The discussion will highlight the methods,
strategies, and challenges to making it as a public relations professional in the
fashion industry. Guests will include Nathaniel Hinton, a publicist at PR
Consulting; Rajni Jacques, Fashion News Editor at Glamour magazine; and
Shiona Turini, Accessories Director at Teen Vogue magazine and a 2004
Hampton University and Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications public
relations alum. There will also be a special giveaway of vouchers sponsored by online
fashion company, ASOS.
Following "Breaking Into the Fashion Industry," there will be an exclusive
networking reception from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for all PRSSA members. For more information,
